Dance, swim and summer!

This past month has been filled with dance, swimming and fun summer adventures. Here is a layout of what we've been up to. Sariah really wants a big girl bike so instead of just buying it for her, we are teaching her a lesson about work and she is earning it. She has a chore list of 25 chores to do before she gets her bike, helmet and doll chair. She picked it out already and we have a picture of it on the top of her list. Some of the chores are really easy like helping mommy make dinner and cleaning the bases of the windows. Some of them are really difficult like cleaning up dog poop and cleaning the toilets. She's only got seven more chores left and then she'll get her bike! She'll probably have it by the end of this week.
Sariah just finished up swim lessons for the summer. We've been going since May and it's just getting too hot. She's really loved every teacher she had but she especially liked Mr. Justin. He was great with her and we'll miss it but there always next year. She can't move up to a higher level anyway because the next level up is for 5 year olds and she's only 3! She's a great swimmer and has learned a lot. She needs to learn to "swim with more independence" and "without her nose plugged" (what her report card said).

We wanted to try out ice skating instead of dance. Sariah enjoyed it but I think it's too much for her right now. She went there thinking she was going to do spins and skate backwards and she could barely stand up on the skates. Maybe in a couple years we'll try it again. I think dance is more for her.
This is Sariah's dance recital costume. They did a tap dance to "Patch of Heaven" and it was adorable. I did get it on video but right now, Blogger is having issues. I will make sure to post it soon!

Mr. Eli just loves his Rice Krispies! This was all his doing. He wanted to dress up like Spidey Girl.

Mr. Eli watering the lawn..... and himself!

Spence went with his friend Pat to hike the Grand Canyon. He was very sore when he came home but he said it was all-in-all a good trip and one to cross of his list of things to accomplish.

I haven't done anything really exciting. I've done some sewing in between being a mom and a part-time student. I've taken up doing piano lessons again but only for one family (because I've had them forever) Other than that, nothing to extreme.

Overall, our family is doing great. We just got over a bought of the stomach flu but we are back on our feet and loving life in Arizona!
