Staying cool!

So this summer feels like it's been a long one and now that it's starting to cool down (hopefully) I just wanted to give a shout out and say "Goodbye Summer....until next year!" Here are some things we've been doing to stay cool and stay busy while we patiently wait for the approval for our house. Spence made an awesome quilt. He's been working on it for quite sometime and finally finished. I'm pretty proud of him. He designed it himself with no help from me whatsoever. It's made out of his old t-shirts and jeans. What do you think?
Pretty impressive, eh?

I've been keeping myself busy by making our halloween costumes this year. Probably not the most frugal way of doing costumes but it will definately be the most fun and rewarding Halloween yet. I will also be entering them in a few contest so hopefully something will come out of that. Stay tuned for pictures of those pieces of work.

Eli is just like his older sister. He loves, loves, loves watermelon. He get frustrated because it slips out of his hands so he goes for the "doggie way" with no hands!

The kids and I went to the AZ Kids Expo one day while Spence was working to get out of the house and have some fun. Sariah saw lots of her favorite characters there.

Sariah and Strawberry Shortcake

Sariah and Dora the Explorer

Sariah got to sit on a police motorcycle. She was so excited and this made Daddy a little jealous.

Sariah and Clifford

Sariah was so excited to see Spongebob but with him being so big, she got a little "shy" (that is what she said she was). I think she probably scared but posed in a picture with him anyway.

They had this neat petting zoo and Sariah loved the little baby goats, the cow, and the sheep.

She also rode on a pony

I think her favorite part of the day was getting her face painted by Ariel. She's a big fan, just like her Mommy.

Sariah broke our video camera and I have lots of videos I want to take. Eli is a walker and should I say a "toddler" but he's still just my little man. It's crazy and sad to think how fast time has flown by. Sariah is loving preschool and has learned to say the Pledge of Allegiance- which is another video I will take as soon as I get a new video camera (hopefully soon). We are in the process of buying a house. It's a short sale and is waiting for the bank approval which we should hopefully have soon.

Until next time everybody!

Wow! Spence that quilt looks GREAT!! I am very impressed and a little jealous. I'm not sure I have it in me to do anything like that. The desire is there, just not on the priority list as of yet. Maybe you could make me one...right??? Ha, Ha.
